1. When was AMS established?     AMS was established in 1997 as Management wing of Krupajal Group of Institutions in capital city of Orissa i.e. Bhubaneswar. This Group of Institutions offers other programmes i.e. B.Tech, MCA, Diploma Engg. & ITI The core team consists of scions from IITs , IIMs & corporate world.
2. How is AMS different from other B-Schools?     After liberalization and globalization the conventional approach to management education no longer holds good. At AMS, our endeavor is to develop the analytical ability of individual students who has the mental flexibility to adopt concepts to new situations for appropriate decision making. A strong industry institution interaction enables AMS to strengthen the curriculum as per Industry needs, besides rigorous classroom exercises enables our students to face any challenges in corporation world.
3. . Does the AMS-1s MBA/PGDBM program similar to other leading MBA/PGDBM programs?     The MBA/PGDBM program of AMS is planned in such way that the students find it rigorous and exhaustive. AMS has devised a program which has far more to offer than that in curriculum. The core committee which designs the program consists of top level corporate Managers, Consultants, Researchers, Administrators and Academicians whose vast experience in relevant field enables AMS to have a program that is relevant to contemporary needs. Towards this we actively address the subject areas, Personality, emotional and ethical development of the individual as well. The curriculum is rather designed for transformation of a student to a complete man.
4. Is AMS a residential campus?     Yes, it provides in-campus separate residential facilities for boys and girls with round-the-clock security out side the hostel.
5. What are the Electives offered in PGDBM/MBA?     The Electives offered Finance Marketing International Business HRM Operations Systems
6. Does AMS offer dual specialization?     Yes, AMS offers Dual Specialization. Students have to choose electives from any two areas
7. Which are the All India Aptitude tests AMS Considers for its PGDBM Programme?     AMS recognizes the below mentioned All India Management Aptitude Tests XAT /ATMA /CAT /MAT.
8. . I could not opt for AMS while registering to XAT /ATMA /CAT /MAT Can I apply now to AMS?     Yes, you can apply. What you need to do is to attach a photocopy of the score card along with the application form.
9. What is the cut of MAT/XAT/CAT/ATMA?     As such there is no cut off. What matters is your overall performance during the admission procedure. AMS believes in not only taking the Aptitude Test Score, but also understanding the Managerial abilities of a candidate. The comprehensive evaluation is done through Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Psychometric Test. We have weightages given for each of these parameters. The stages of selection process and the weightages are: Aptitude Test Score : 80 Marks (Attested copy of the Score Card must be attached along with the Application Form) Group Discussion : 70 Marks Personal Interview : 70 Marks Psychometric Test : 25 Marks Essay : 15 Marks Academics : 30 Marks (Assessment will be given based on your Academic records) Work Experience : 10 Marks (Assessment will be done during the Personal Interview) Total : 300 Marks Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Psychometric Test and Essay will be conducted on a single day. The final admission will depend purely on your performance as mentioned above.
10. How to apply for the PGDBM and / or MBA Programme?     The Application kit is available at AMS, Bhubaneswar Campus on payment of Rs.800/- in cash or candidates can also apply online or they can download Application form from: www.amskrupajal.org or For Application kit can also be obtained through Post by sending a DD of Rs.850/- in favour of Are Academy of Management Studies, payable at Bhubaneswar to The Admission co-ordinator, Academy of Management Studies, Pubasasan, Kausalyaganga, Bhubaneswar-751002
11. How do I sent the Demand Draft along with Completed Application Form?     You can send either by POST : Speed Post / Regd. Post / Couriers.

13. What is the placement scenario of this year?     90% of our students are placed through on/off campuses. The average salary this year has gone up to 3.2 lacs and highest being 5.5 lacs per annum.
14. Is lap top compulsory for all students?     Yes, lap top is compulsory for all the students. We facilitate from the vendors to get you the best rate with the latest configurations.
15. Is Lap top included in the fees Structure?      No, Lap top is not included in the fees Structure.

1. I will receive my Degree Mark Statement only after July? How do I stand if I am selected?     You will be provisionally admitted to AMS but you have to submit your final certificate by 30th September 2007.
